In January 2007, we surveyed 40 clients who turned to us for a professional re-design of their website after they couldn't take the disappointment and frustration of their current website. Here is what we found out:
- 31 were using a "do it yourself" website company that required no knowledge on their part
- 31 originally signed up with these companies due to the low cost(s)
- 9 found other websites using the same template they were using
- 29 were disappointed/frustrated with the customer service
- 26 couldn't find their sites in any Search Engines
- 31 were disappointed/frustrated with the lack of features and customization available
- 31 were disappointed/frustrated with the lack of traffic and/or sales
- 22 said they spent too much money in the long run trying to make their site work with no results
